Think about what you desire most in a person.
That's the mask that he wears.
He's incredible at being who you need him to be for as long as it suits him. The only time there's ever a crack in the facade is when someone tells him no. Somewhere in a deep, dark place, something insidious has festered over a lifetime of feeling as if he's owed something due to his consistent career rejections. It sets off something dangerous in him, and depending on the circumstances, neither one of you might like where it goes.
He's wonderful, until he isn't. He's loving, until he's not. He respects your boundaries, until he comes against one he doesn't like. That's the kind of person you're dealing with on the inside. He'll be your whole world, until he has reason to burn it all to the ground.
Theo got into the music industry because deep down, he really just wanted to whore around. It didn't matter with who, it didn't matter where. But he saw it as a way to get what he wanted, and to be wanted in turn. A rocky start lead him to where he is today, a constant rejection for the one thing he was passionate about chipped his shoulder in an irrevocable way- believe him, he's tried the fucking therapy.
At the end of the day, he really just wants to be the only one who can say the word no, and it turns out a lot of people don't have a problem with that... but that's the problem. The ones who do have a problem with that are the ones he enjoys the most.
Oh yeah. And the guy is divorced for cheating on his wife, and he shares custody of their child with her. He's pretty pissed that he only gets every other weekend, something about not having a steady source of income or something. Look, he's fucking trying, yeah?
